Lesley Langfield

Lesley Langfield brings her extensive background in spa design and operations to the Ocean Palm Spa in Sidney. Lesley’s desire to open a spa in the seaside community goes back twenty years. So when she was invited in 2004 to build a spa to complement the Sidney Waterfront Hotel she leaped at the opportunity.

The waterfront location allowed Lesley to turn to the sea for inspiration and technologies. The Japanese Soaker Tub allows water to soothe and relax the body and soul. Spa services reflect marine influences such as the use of spirulina seaweed in pedicures and body wraps. Marine technology is not only used in spa services but is found in many spa products. Natural ingredients are key features of the recently introduced Ocean Palm Spa line of products including the most recent formulation, an anti-aging, skin resurfacing med cream.

Since opening the Ocean Palm Spa in 2004 Lesley has continued to explore new ways of providing a spa experience that reflects awareness and reunites body, mind soul and spirit, enhancing the inner and outer beauty of all individuals using the very best that nature provides.

Lesley's Background

Lesley was born in Manchester England where she started her stellar career in the beauty industry. After an extensive five-year education in England, France and Switzerland, she received her international diploma with C.I.D.E.S.C.O.

In 1977 Lesley immigrated to Victoria to open one of the very first Day Spas on Vancouver Island and went on to own and operate Elaine Lesley Aesthetics and International Day Spa for more than twenty years. Seeking to apply her experience and knowledge to new ventures, Lesley branched into consulting, planning and developing spas and opened several of BC’s largest facilities.
 
As a graduate of C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Lesley has access to a network of some of the top spa practitioners in the world. This organization located in Zurich, Switzerland, is governed by medical doctors, endocrinologists and plastic surgeons who set the standard for the beauty industry throughout the world. It is with this knowledge and guidance at her fingertips that Lesley has applied her training and experience to the growing arena of cosmoceuticals in North America.
